Problem
Megatrend "New Work"
We examined psychological research on motivation and self-actualization. We discovered, that motivation and fulfillment are closely linked to a person’s values.
Key Findings
Values can be categorized into extrinsic, neutral and intrinsic values. Especially intrinsic values seem to have a significant impact on job satisfaction and personal fulfillment.
Since many people are unaware of their own values, we wanted to start by helping users discover themselves. With the already existing Portrait Values Questionnaire you can explore your own values on the basis of 40 questions. We included the questionnaire so that it is easy to use and can be integrated into the Valju platform.
As a result of the questionnaire, users receive a personal value profile that shows their most important values. This profile is the basis for the matching process with companies.
Who can benefit from our platform?
The platform matches users with companies based on their values. The matching process is based on the values of both parties, ensuring a good fit.
Challenges
Learnings & Successes
We started with a comprehensive research phase to understand the megatrend "New Work" and its implications for the future of work. We also explored the community engagement, meaningful work and job satisfaction.
How might we assist employees in different phases of their professional life?
Based on our research, we defined the target group and created personas to guide the design process.
We developed a business model that balances the social focus of the platform with a sustainable revenue model. We explored different revenue streams and user acquisition strategies.
We conducted user testing at Fraunhofer IAO to test our design concepts and gather feedback from potential users. The feedback helped us refine our design and ensure it meets user needs.
